As @Tiago said, the DDJ-SB/SB2 both have dedicated PLAY/PAUSE and CUE buttons; they're simply located on the second row of pads rather than having 8 pads.
I am wanting to get my first DJ controller. and learn how to DJ. My question is I noticed on the DDJ-SB2 they don't have dedicated play/pause button like the DDJ-SR does. Would that be a bad thing when learning to DJ? Right now I am using Vitural DJ to practice some but would like to get a DJ controller as some point

What do you mean not having a dedicade play/pause button
from random pic (and I do have a ddj-sb2 :) ) you can see it next to CUE button.
