Pioneer ddj sr issues

I am having issues with the unit. I have tried it on different laptops and the same thing happens.

After about an hour of play, some of the buttons don't work correct, for example if I press sync on the left deck once it opens up the fx option, press it twice it opens up another bttom on the top menu, it just keep doing this with each press till all the buttons freeze on the unit. For example the pad freezes on sample button and all the lights light up and pressing back the hot cue button does something that is totally odd, for example, start both tracks on each deck from the cue point.

is there any fix to this or what can be causing it.

@busy2K > We'd also like to ask that you confine your posts to one topic; spreading your "I fixed it by doing XYZ" and then "Nope, broken again" messages across 3 different topics is not only making a mess of the forum, but causing confusion for other users and making it difficult for us to provide support.

I believe @Mark will be consolidating the posts and closing other topics so all conversation is directed to ONE topic which we will be tracking. And as @Mark said, we are already in direct communication with the product team and this is the best way for you to seek assistance. Creating separate contacts via other channels will only confuse the issue further.

>No post in other topics...I think the problem was solved because after i changed the usb cable  controller worked normaly in that day.Yesterday the issue appear again after 20 minutes of use..

Make me understand something

The biggest producer of dj equipment have a forum where nobody from official tech support  respond.. just some random guys with some knowledge about usb cables

I'm kinda piss off..because you forced me to make an update to use a software and that update f*&ked up my controller..how do i supposed to be ? Happy ! No Mr,i'm angry because i have a brick now and all the answer was : change the usb cable.

How hard is to translate a error in Japanese ? In that company nobody understand english ? Hard to belive...

it isn't a firmware issue I was getting it on the old firmware also and upgraded thinking it would stop but just got worst. The controller functions fine for a few minutes when it is being used for the first time during the day, and after that the problem starts. It has to be a  problem related to the unit because all the knobs on my unit are fine, all usb cables, and laptops are good. The people who are not posting is because it haven't happened to them as yet, or when it happens they just stop using their units. But it is going to happen to more users eventually. And it happens with all computer, and whenter it s virtual dj, serato, recordbox or tractor. All programs still cause the unit to work not properly. It has to be something mixed up in the communication to the program

I understand you're upset that your controller isn't working, but getting angry won't garner my sympathy. You posted to several topics, all of which were responded to within a reasonable amount of time, each time. You also contacted us via Facebook, which was responded to within a reasonable amount of time. You have sought support via several methods and we have been accommodating to your requests and provided support each time.

Nobody forced you to update the firmware, but it is not confirmed that the firmware is the problem, our support team is investigating all of the complaints to try and determine where the problem is occurring.

We're not some random guys with some knowledge about USB cables, I've been working a support agent for Pioneer DJ for 17 years, and I have a pretty good knowledge of all of Pioneer DJ's equipment. Our support team is and has helped dozens of DDJ-SR users with their complaints, and for the majority of those cases, a faulty USB cable or poor power supplied via USB from the user's computer has been the cause. I'm sorry if you don't accept that as a possibility.

Now, I'm going to close this topic because it's clear everyone needs a little time to cool their heads, and once I've heard back from the engineers, I'll re-open it and post additional information.

Pioneer, it sounds like the cc midi problem with the left cue on the DDJ-SR is a firmware issue. It's pretty clear actually.

Please upload the previous firmware updates so we can at least get our controllers working again until you guys figure it out. We payed good money for these units. Some people are getting a bad taste in their mouths and are talking about not buying your products again.

At the very least give us some info on putting it back to factory settings.
