DDJ-RZ Latency

Hi,

My DDJ-RZ arrived and it's amazing, however I am having issues with what I think is latency.  The master output is about 1 or 2 beats delayed from the output on my headphones, making it impossible to beat-match.  I have tried plugging it in to multiple speakers and used multiple cables + adjusted the latency within RB.  Is there something I am missing?

I have a DJM800 that I have plugged into the same sound system with the same cable and there are no delay issues at all.

Thanks, Ben.

Sounds like you've got some effects turned on
Latency is the response of the jog wheels to your hands
Put the latency back to normal

It's got nothing to do with effects.  I have everything switched off, have tested the effects cue as well and there is still significant delay in the master output. Everything works fine when I set the output to internal (laptop speakers).  I have been djing for about 10 years with analogue gear, have also had some friends who are djs come and look at it and we can't figure out what the issue is...

I came from vinyl and 1200's too and had some issues at first
I had to adjust so many beat grids and bpm's to get the hang
Of it...still learning everyday. Maybe there's something to do with
the firmware/drivers? I'm sure your all up to date, but be sure that
You have the right asio driver and settings are right. What kind of
Speakers or monitors are you using? My RZ is plugged into KRK's
using xlr inputs from the master out,no problems at all.

Latency/buffer is at the lowest right now.  I have tried changing it to every setting.  All my firmware and drivers are up to to date, Everything on the controller is switched off (effects etc).  As i said before, when i use the same cable / soundsystem on my DJM800 there is no delay whatsoever.

This sucks.

It's really strange - usually I'm pretty tech savvy with this kind of stuff.  Could it be a hardware issue?  Everything else seems to be working fine.  I had traktor set up previously (through DJM800 / same CPU / same sound system) with no issues.

Running:

Latest 15 inch MBP / OSX 10.11.4 2.8 GHz i7 / 16gb RAM

It could, but please try running the same controller on another computer to start the elimination process.

Sorry for the delay, Have tried with another macbook and has the same issue :(

I'm stuck with what to do here.  I had my friend who is a pro dj come over and try to figure it out with no luck as well.

Is your speakers connected directly to the DDJ-RZ or via your DJM-800 setup? If not, try to connect them directly and test both Master Out and Booth Out.

Do you have any other music software running in the background on your Mac that could interfere with the sound? e.g. Soundflower, Loopback...

Post pics of your settings in rekordbox dj and DDJ-RZ Utility (Use CMD + Shift + 4 + Space to save a pic of the active window)

@Pulse - Same OSX - 10.11.4

@oakstream - I have tried all outputs, direct and through the 800 - with same issues.  No other software is open - Have tried re-booting and re-installing everything.

Thanks; trying to determine if it's a 10.11.4 issue.

For it to be a full 1-2 beats behind, there is something seriously wrong. Do you have any other USB audio devices you could test for output from your computer?

Hey...i just set up my ddj rz and I'm having the exact same problem with the cue 2 seconds faster than master. I've been a dj for 17 years so i know my way around equipment. I'm also having many other issues, and I'm about to write this off as a piece of junk if there's no resolution and get my $ back
