This is the first I've heard about this.
I was really thinking about getting 2 of these.
I got myself 2 XDJ-1000 when thy first came available to the UK in an/Feb. 2016 and I got these because they where advertised as the next generation of Players and second in line too the Nexus.
I have now been waiting on my purchase for a third XDJ-1000, today I just got a email telling me the XDJ-1000 has been discontinued, what !! ?
These where billed as the next generation of players, so in relation to the media Hype I new this would have longevity for quite some time, 2 players to me alone is a waste of space and that bores me and is quite pointless literally at my skill level and in my needs to mix, I bought 2 XDJ-1000 in good faith knowing I would get 2 more by end of years if not sooner, I must have 4 off these altogether once I can afford, according to the store this is now not possible, and no I don't want an xdj-7000 with no beat jump . Besides I already tried and returned.
This is very shocking news, and to top it off I still have major bugs that's sometimes can mess up a set and I must turn off my unit to get them working as they should, again I had trust that their will be more firmware updates, so does this also mean that is it ?, and future support ?, are their still a few firmware updates coming to fix these issues ? this can not be it ? I did not pay a lot of money to get screwed if all this is true as the store has confirmed then I am deeply ruined inside as this has been my dream to have players that I can also practice on so I can play out at clubs with the nexus , as I say for me this is a lot of money and now I will only have two matching players, I also got these on finance I am paying for another 3 an 1/2 years with a lot of interest my bank balance will be bare . I committed to these knowing they where a very safe bet to do this, otherwise I would never have got, I would have just stuck to a controller.
At this moment I am feeling ripped off, betrayed and decieved, can we please have some info as to what is going on ? and the future of support and updates ? these units where way overpriced anyhow considering only 3 hot cues, I don't expect nexus spec, but come on even controllers can sample and hot cue with 2X8 pads etc. so as I was hoping for at least more hot cues in later updates, I was not presuming or expecting, but based on comparison with XDJ-700/ XDJ-1000/nexus it seems like those who bought the XDJ-1000 are not quite getting their money worth the 1000 does not sit anywhere near the middle in regards to value for money, it would be best saving a lot of money by getting the XDJ-700'S x 4 providing they don't get discontinued soon after released. Although i cant really do without beat jump the size of the unit did not overly bother me. but for me the 4 x Xdj-1000 would have given me all I needed and 2 spare decks to use for overlaying/sampling and juggling with the Beat shift would have allowed me to use all my skill and passions, my dream setup would have been realised .Now everything has been taken away from me, what happens next what replaces it or will I end up with worse spec again.
.
We are at least owed official answers ? sooner rather than months down the line.
I hope Pioneer DJ understand the frustration at getting let down like this so unexpected and only second to what m-audio did to its Trigger finger pro users, £399 on release but within 2-3 months it was selling for £99, but I would never expected the xdj-1000 following this, pioneer DJ surely can not be screwing us like that ?
I was all set to start doing some 3 player mixes almost 5-6 months I have hardly used the two I have, as 2 just isn't good enough, now i don't know where I go from here, will I be able to afford its successor if indeed their will be one, will its spec match the XDJ-100, will it be slightly improved at no extra cost or slightly lower in price, and how long to have to hold onto my £769 or will it be a big waste of time and I loose out on important time waiting to know, meaning I cant even spend it on studio equipment.
I am screwed all round and in relation to what was suppose to be a newish product, and this is before I even post up all the Bugs for the xdj-1000 I get that destroys ones confidence In the xdj-1000. I have not requested support yet as I was presuming on a sure thing that their will be firmware updates/fixes their has to be otherwise it is unfit for purpose and as described how do we know it not discontinued because its inferior, anyhow one step at a time, answers first ??
Sorry for going on, but I just want pioneer to realise how much they are messing us users up,and it feels like we have just been used so that they can experiment with their technology and a product.

This is the first I've heard about this.
I was really thinking about getting 2 of these.
It has to be right why else would the store say this after I have had these on back order for 2 weeks they kept putting the due dates back on me, until I got the email, saying they have been discontinued and from a reputable store too. So gutted in every way am I. anyhow money going on other stuff now no other choices, and I will not being buying a Toriez SP-16 I was wanting to get later down the line, how can I ever trust pioneer DJ under these circumstances, I never thought I would ever say such a thing about pioneer DJ,but its naughty what they are about to do on what was suppose to be their new next generation of players.
Gutted gutted gutted, may as well just bushido blade my self now.
They are still readily available here in the states.
Maybe there's a newer and better player replacing
them like a Xdj 1500 or so?
I have not seen or heard anything about them being
discontinued, and they are still available everywhere.
You might try a different store, or buy online.
I could have bought another this morning from another UK store or later while the limited stocks last, which will not be long here in The UK based UK store stocks, no huge stock orders over here.
And more to the point, the point being, in the amount of time this has been released and already it is Discontinued, their are CD units available for years even the nexus was out for several years before nexus2 has been released, 7 months has to be an all time Low don't you think. anyhow We wont get this info until some even more unfortunate will get played to find out in a very short time they could have bought its replacement, why replace when its very new in itself , warning bell rig out and a fight I will not give up if I should encounter issues, although I think its about time I started compiling all my video of the Bugs, as long as I can be guaranteed that at least within the next 2-3 years these issues will be supported n honoured if they can not be rectified.
Saying this I really feel an obligatory urge to get this news Spread via the usual socials media, this as I say is an all time low even by pioneers standards, who have a fast turnover rate, not sure if I can allow others to feel such anguish and disappointment, or is anyone else missing the point in the case of the speedy 7 month demise of the XDJ-1000, their is a case in this argument on so many levels.
anyhow an XDJ 1500 or something lol means that the Xdj1000 is not 1st step of next generation xdj-1000 merely a test prototype based on its very short existents.
I don't see why the deserve to make anymore money on left over stocks without at least reducing these to all late buyers and giving us early adopters an exlpantion with a heart felt and sinceare applogy
I'm here in the UK, lots of stock where I've looked. I'm assuming you've tried the main online retailers?). Can I ask which store you've tried?
I love my units so the thought of them being discontinued (which I find hard to believe at the moment, I think you've been misled) is a mixed bag of feelings. Relief that I got them when they were available (I think they still are) and also sadness that they're no longer around (they are).
two more things... Pioneer still lists them (and doesn't any other discontinued/replaced product) and they came out well over a year ago (Late 2014 or very early 2015) if I recall correctly. Still plenty of life in them yet though.
Worth checking again in my opinion, I think you'll be pleased.
I asked someone that does reviews and testing with pioneer UK
and they told me that they have not heard that it has been discontinued.
Maybe wait until some confirmation from someone here that really knows?
I can still get from UK in other stores as I have already mentioned, but if its true stocks will not last long I know this from buying many things over many years and how our stores get their stock in, but as being confused over the future of them I decided not too get, Lucky I saved the bulk of my money until I know what's going on.
I have become very cynical over Corporations etc and people in general (that life has made me), but coming from a store that I have spend many thousands over a few years with them I could not see what advantages they would have in telling me lies, they would loose my custom of course.
Any how excuse my passions jumping away with me, I guess time will tell, and if what I have been told is wrong, well I have the correspondence and I will be a pain in their side if they do not justify a reasonable explanation to why this mistake has been made, also looking at their Stock it is also showing they have no XDJ-700, so maybe just a coincidence, I can but hope if their is a replacement Prices will match up.
Cheers for your input everyone, and sorry for sounding so cynical, but as a rule I am normally right when I get so passionate over something, lets hope I am wrong and if not then their is a valid reason that in turn is not an issue for us users and for discontinuing etc.
Still on the support pages on their website. http://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/
There are also other instances of the DJM900 SRT disappearing as well.
I bought a pair and hope that these aren't going away anytime soon.
