Are you running Serato or RB? And you said updates, so you have the latest firmware installed, yes?
I am having an issue with random audio dropouts. I am running a Pioneer DDJ-SX2 with a 2015 MacBook Pro running latest software and updates. The specs on the MacBook are max. available. My last 2 gigs I had an audio dropout randomly. Both times it occurred it was not driving too hard and the gains were less than half, so it was not a clip. One occurred during a slow song and one during a dance song. The similarities are that they both occurred on Chanel 1. When the audio cut out, I lowered the ch. slider all the way down and then back up and the audio came back on. Was wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues and any suggestions. Am wondering if it is a bad channel. Thanks for any assistance

Have you updated the firmware on the SX2? There was an update to address a signal issue.
Also, what is the setting on your audio buffer?
Hi
I'm having the same issue as above.
I have the DDJ-RR and am just playing at home so nothing too loud.
I have a MacBook Pro Retina running version 10.11.4 with El Capitan.
I have the latest driver and firmware.
Randomly the audio drops out and stops playing through the speakers. The tracks are still playing as I can see it on my computer. When I unplug the DDJ-RR the music then starts playing through my laptop speakers.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
J
@JK > Your issue is not the same, even if it reads the same -- what is the audio buffer setting for your RR within the rekordbox preferences?
Oh, sorry for hijacking the thread then.
The buffer rate is 512 samples (11.6 ms).
J
Can you please try bumping that up to 2048 samples?
Hi Guys
Bumped it up and it works now with no audio fall out.
Thanks
Jamie
@Jamie > Thanks for reporting back. Ideally, you want the setting to be as low as possible without any audio glitches or drop-outs - the actual value you need will vary from computer to computer due to differences in hardware and software running on the machine. If you find the responsiveness a bit slow, try lowering the value. It will shorten the buffer but will offer tighter performance.
Hi
After having the DDJ-RR's in storage for a few years I've just got them out.
I'm still having the same issue as I had 4 years ago now. I've got the sample rate up at 2016.
I start playing a track and it starts well but slowly the track starts crackling, buzzing and dropping out on both the headphones and speakers.
I'm running Catalina 10.15.6 with a 27 GHz Processor, 8GB of Memory and an Intel Iris Graphics 6100 graphics card.
I'm running Rekordbox 6 and have the latest driver and firmware.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
