4.2.0b High CPU Usage

Hi Pioneer,

Just letting you know that previous versions of RB were great for my CPU usage, since 4.2.0 and 4.2.0b the CPU average just for the RB program is around 35% where as before it always sat around 15 - 18%.

There must be some scruffy code somewhere eating CPU cycles as this has only appeared since 4.2.0. I have a Quad core i7 4700HQ processor and 16GB ram running on Windows 10.

In relation to 4.2.0b it deffo seems more stable than 4.2.0 apart from the high CPU utilization.

Cheers John

Please upgrade to the official release of 4.2.0 (not beta) and see if this persists.

Hi ndorse,

Made some progress, if you leave RB running for around 30/45mins then the CPU returns to what it used to be. Not sure what is going on in the background that stops after roughly 30mins but my CPU is now 12-18% as it used to be....

This high CPU is present every time you start 4.2.0b, if I use 4.1.2 then this is issue IS NOT present.

Maybe Pioneer can shed some light on this when Pulse reads this thread...

Hello i upgraded to the new rekordbox and i keep getting the same message to upgrade, please help.. My record box keeps saying disconnected with my xdi rx every 5 seconds and the job wheels don't light up, i checked if theres an issue with the decks, as they are brand new only 3 months old, they work fine when i use usb, its just when i am using the usb cable to macro connection to use rekordbox software, this keeps happening.

i cant use my jog wheels as it keeps sending the song all over the place, increases the tempo on its own to high and starts slowing down on its own.

how do i fix this??

Same CPU usage 45%, also hangs when attempting to quit causing CPU to spike well above normal. Only 3% of idle CPU headroom so computer is non responsive until I force quit RB.

I am also having the same issue on a Thinkpad with an i7 6600 series and 24GB of RAM. 40% CPU usage with the fan running on maximum. This doesn't make sense coming from a company that is supposed to be industry standard :-(. I ditched my Traktor setup thinking that this would be better in every way and I'm very disappointed. I don't have another $1000 to spend.
