troubles with managing playlists

I have been using Rekordbox for over a year now, and really love it. There's a few things though that really bug me every time i'm preparing for a new set. It's probably easy, but i cannot find how to do that, nor can i find a good Rekordbox tutorial. So these are my few questions:

- is it possible to find out to which playlist(s) a certain track in my collection belongs?

- on the same note: is it possible to find tracks that don't belong to any playlist yet?

- is it possible to search for 'inconsistent tracks'? Meaning that a I would be able to easily spot all tracks that have become unusable because the original source file moved. So far, i have only found that it displays this information when you actually click a file. But i don't wantot manually cvliic 1000's of files :-)

I hope somebody can help!

Thanks

Hi,

This is all possible.

For your first two questions - if you highlight a track in your collection, and look at the top of the collection list where it says how many tracks are in your collection. If there's a little down arrow, it means that track is in a playlist. If not, it's not. Click the down arrow to see all the playlists that track appears in.

For your missing tracks question... Click File > Display All Missing Files... This will list all missing and give you the option to relocate. (I'm on a Mac but pretty sure PC would be exactly the same.)

aaaaaah thank you so much! This helps me a lot!

I already had a feeling that it would be easy, yet, i would have never clicked that small arrow.... I never even saw it ;-)

I will push my luck a bit further and go for another playlist question :-)

This one is probably a bit more complex, yet it's worth the ask:

The way i am using rekordbox is the following:

1) I download music in iTunes

2) I go to the iTunes folder in Rekordbox, and import the new music to my Rekordbox collection

3) then I go to 'Collection' and assign the new tracks to one or more playlists

4) I usually dj with my computer, but as this is a rather old mac (7 years +) I like to have all my playlists backed up on a USB drive, in case my computer would crash one day. So to do that, i plug my usb stick, and then browse through every single playlist on my computer to find recently added tracks, and then drag each of these new tracks to the respective playlist on my USB stick.

It would make my life soooo much easier if Rekordbox would be able to update my USB automatically, adding all the new tracks to the right playlists on my USB as soon as I plug it in. Is that possible? So basically I am looking for an automated way to keep a perfect sync of the playlists in Rekordbox to my USB. Note that I have 1000's of songs, so it's not possible to just drag all the playlists to my USB every time, as it takes days to transfer on my old mac :-)
