DJM-900NXS2 Soundcard Plays Tracks at 2x

Hello,

I've been using my DJM-900NXS2 as a soundcard recently with Ableton and Bitwig.

For the most part everything works fine, however, when using my mixer purely for playback (windows media player, vlc, etc) with no DAW engaged the mixer will randomly play tracks at 2x speed. This persists across both VLC and windows media player, and also inside Ableton. Not sure what is going on, but certainly a bug. I'm not sure why this happens because there is not even a parameter on the DJM-900NXS2 that gives the ability to adjust the speed of a track.

OS: Windows 10 (Occurs on both of my win-10 machines randomly)

Latest DJM-900NXS2 driver  v2.1 at time of this post.

@Logan > You may want to make sure you've got the 64bit drivers loaded as chances are you have Ableton's 64bit application installed. You need to have a matching bit-depth driver in order to take full advantage of the ASIO drivers for Windows.

The likely culprit, above and beyond the driver, is, as @lostnthesound says, the samplerate. If you have it set to 96k, and it should be at 44.1kHz, all hell can break loose.

Check those things and let us know if you need more information or assistance.

Have you checked the sampling rate of the mixer to make sure it's set to the same sampling rate as the DAW? Ensure they're matched otherwise you'll hear pitched audio.
