I have the opportunity to swap my XDJ RX for a DDJ RZ, and I wonder whether the licence for rekordbox DJ would be activated when I plug it in, like it is with serato and the DDJ SX, or would I have to pay for a license? I can't really afford to pay for a full license, but I will probably make the swap if it comes for free with the RZ.
He would need to give you the license information and deactivate his computers. Alternatively, since you can use 2 computers with each license, you can each have one computer activated.

It comes free however, you have to make sure who you are swapping with deactivates thelicence key that came with yur rz
Will it not work if he doesn't deactivate his copy? Or is it more of a moral decision to get him to do it? Is there anyway he can reactivate it before I activate it on my laptop?
