Unexpected Application Error

This appears after a while of mixing and sometimes appears when I put rekordbox on full screen and then return to normal screen. One time it happened during a set when Rekordbox totally would not work, it was so embarrasing. Pioneer or someone else that have a sollution for this??

Hello all,

This is a known issue in 4.2.1.

Engineers are working on this issue.If you have dmp files, please create an inquiry from here and attach them to it.

rekordbox engineers answered the tentative measures for the issue.
................................................
Would you please try maximizing the window instead of using the full screen mode?
When you click the button at the top right corner, you can maximize or minimize the window. Or, please click Windows icon + up arrow on your key board.

If you really want to use the Full screen mode, please disable the OpenGL setting.
*Please note that if you disable OpenGL, the drawing speed may become slower and the waveform sometimes may stutter.

Please follow the steps below to disable OpenGL.
1. Close rekordbox.
2. Open the file below using the text editor.
 File name:
  C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox\rekordbox3.settings
3. Edit the text as follows and save it:
  <VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="0"/>
   ↓
  <VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="1"/>

4. Close the text editor opened in the above 2) and run rekordbox.
5. Test Full screen mode.

Thank you very much for your kind cooperation.
Best regards,
CRM, Pioneer DJ

Well that didn't work either for me... So I just reintalled a later version that was working quite fine before... 4.1.1
I looked in my browser for rekordbix downloads and redownloaded a older version...

This is the reason why I went with the xdj-rx no need for laptop software...

I tried disabling the open GL and no difference, Rekordbox still crashes when DDJ RB is connected

And it is still doing it 3 years later on version 5.7.0. I was told my 3D graphics card driver was causing the issue and to use the on board graphics driver on my laptop. This seemed to work for a while but I have just updated to 5.7.0 today and it's now doing the same crash. I have tried changing the programme to use the intel graphics card but this time the fault continues. Any thoughts?

@Moosey > It's still entirely possible that your display adapter is the cause of the issue; please ensure the drivers for it are fully updated and that you have all of your Windows service updates / patches installed.

NVIDIA
Intel
AMD / ATI
