Sounds like your beat grids are not properly aligned.
I was playing in a club yesterday, they have 2 CDJ2000 (if I am not mistaken).
When I was playing tracks at the same BPM (but originally of different BPM) the tracks would eventually miss the synchronization, and need continuously to use the jog wheel to adjust. Other DJ told me I should not care about the BPM but checking that the % I change the original BPM should be multiple of 8 (0.80%, 1.60%, 2.40%, etc). To be honest this doesn't make any sense to me.
What could be the problem? could it be that the firmware needs a good update? It could be also that both CDJ have different firmwares.
I ended up using the Synch button, but even this also would loose the synch some times... particularly when using loops.
I want to report this to the club owner, but I would like to have some background information first.
Cheers

I am not sure what you mean with the beatgrids problem. In fact I do beat-match by ear, so once the beats are matching and in synch, it should keep that way if both tracks have exactly the same BPM.
If your beatgrids are off, you may be receiving incorrect BPM information which is why your tracks seem to drift and also why using SYNC doesn't work.
Are you using rekordbox to analyze your files?
All my tracks are prepared in Rekordbox. So, could it be that for some setting of the CDJ, the player don't read the beatgrid? I only have this problem in this club. And I must admit I didn't load my settings in the CDJs
It may be a settings issue or a firmware issue. Try updating the firmware before your next set at that venue and let us know how it works out.
Yes, I think it is something like that... the DJ in charge there is a TRAKTOR guy. The others seemed to have found a workaround. I know also one of the CDJ was upgraded recently, but I doubt they update the firmware often. I will try to get them to do it. Or I do it myself.
