Pioneer DDJ -SB2 hardware failed to connect
Good day Pioneer support
I just purchased a DDJ SB2 from Guitar Center. I am trying to connect it to my MAC that is running on OS X 10.9.5. I have Serato DJ with video package that i use with my DDJ SX. I have updated to Serato 1.9.2. I was told that the DDJ-SB2 would be compatible with serato DJ. When i connect the USB from the controller in Serato DJ it appears as it is connecting and says it can take a few minutes. after about 3 to 4 minutes is shows "Pioneer DDJ SB2 HARDWARE FAILED TO CONNECT. PLEAE TRY AGAIN" I have tried it multiple times. the control is connected because it lights up and does its color chasing. I even down loaded the sera to dj intro and still it did not connect. Please advise with a resolution. your help will be greatly appreciated.

I followed the directions on the link but it did not work. When I get to the MIDI Studio i do have the USB Midi Device Icon along with the icon for my pioneer DDJ SX. I change to from default to new configuration. it asks me to name it. this was not part of instructions on the link. it does not change on its own. I named DDJ-SB2 and it still did not work. I have even tried a different USB cable. anything else it could be. thank you

DDJ-SX is plug-and-play with Serato DJ and require no further activation or licences.
But DDJ-SB2 is for Serato DJ intro and equires an upgrade licence to be purchased and activated on your computer.

Thanks Tom. However, I could not get the DDJ-SB2 to work in serato DJ intro. I will have to see if the controller is worth the 129 upgrade. So do you really think that is what it is? thank you

Hello,I also have problem with my ddj sb2 windows does not recognized the unit and it says the device is malfunctioned. I did open the sb2 but im not sure if the chip tusb3200ac or the main board is faulty.help please.thanks.
