Here is a workaround for Mac OS 10.9 not recognizing your DJ equipment.
I just received my DDJ RB and I am unable to control the software using the controller. I am able to play audio through the unit through my powered speaker system but none of the Midi functions are working. I thought it was strange that when powering up the unit and opening RB the software recognizes the controller as a generic "USB Midi Device" and not DDJ RB.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software and drivers 3 times. The firmware was up to date each time I did this. I even uninstalled Rekordbox V.3 which I had been using on my DJM/CDJ2000nxs setup unitl now. The v422 update I did last night continues to work flawlessly with my CDJ/DJM setup in Export Mode but not on the DDJ RB in Performance Mode.
CPU: Macbook Pro - Yosemite 10.9
Please Help! Need this up and running by the weekend. :)

Thanks for the quick response Tom! I will try that this afternoon and report back.
So by selecting "New Configuration" the USB midi device will automatically change to its intended configuration?
Name the configuration and click OKAY.
And then make sure the DDJ-RB ASIO appears in the new configuration.
Tom,
It worked perfectly!
except I never saw the "DDJRB ASIO" after renaming the Generic USB Device to "DDJRB"
Regardless the device then understood it was then a Pioneer device and the the unit worked as advertised.
Now if I could only get those 4 hours back... :)
Thanks for your help.
Ian-
I'm glad hear the news!
Thanks.
