Rekordbox DJ bug free ?

I've heard from plenty of people who say RBDJ is buggy. Practically Beta stage even.

I want to hear from people where everything works, no bugs in their user experience whatsoever. Like mine is with Traktor.

Anybody out there ??

Overall the program is great but still need some improvments. I have a DDJ RX and had some issues with the older versions but that was fixed by 4.2.2 upgrade. I still have one issue with the program wich is that sometimes during my set the whole program lags for about 0.5-1 seconds and then goes back to normal. I don't knlw what's wrong and have not found a sollution yet.

If I where you, wait or go for Serato.

I use RB with a DDJ-RZ.  Have to say my experience is positive.

I have some features that I'd like to see and I had issues with a previous version but otherwise I'm very happy with it. I was ex-Traktor and was looking at the RZ or SZ but didn't really want to switch to Serato.

I've never had a crash and the only time I've ever had audio stuttering is when my Mac reached <5% battery and was warning me that it was shutting down (presume this was due to it preparing to hibernate).

My experience is positive on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro + DDJ-SX doing video.

I think there is a lot of optimization to go, especially in analyzing the video side of things but the groundwork has been solid for me. I regularly play around with RB and SDJ and upon a future release I could see myself getting a controller that might be RB only.

I switched from Traktor too, there are little things I'm still getting used to it (like almost unreliable beat grid / first cue point detection). But for the strictly DJ side of things I like Rekorbox so much and didn't had any issues performing on a 2012 MacBookPro.

I thought it was easier to switch from Traktor, I'm kind of re-learning to deejay again because I totally relied on the software for a lot of things previously. Right now I'm thinking more about the stuffs I'm doing like switch tempos set cue points, learn quick combinations to change the pitch rate and other stuffs. I used Traktor for 5 years so I think it's normal.

But I'm totally sold on Rekorbox, I think it will be the best DJ software in a year or so!

I don't want to get into every aspect of how rekordbox DJ is incomplete, but please take my advice seriously - do not buy a rekordbox DJ proprietary controller (such as the DDJ-RX or DDJ-RZ).  At least get one like the DDJ-SX that can be used with Serato and I think even Traktor as well.

rekordbox DJ is far from finished.  Do not buy.
