[SOLVED] DDJ RB - headphones not working properly when plugged in all the way

Hello,

I just recently bought the DDJ RB. And for some reason if i plug in my headphones (SONY MDR-XB950AP), the sound is bad as if the bass is gone. If i however carefully pull it out about 1 milimeter, my sound is perfectly fine.

The headphones function normal in any other device.

Is this a known issue, what should i do? I bought the device at Bax-shop.nl

This is because your headphones have a microphone. The other devices you are using your headphones with likely have a combination headphone out/mic in port, such as a smart phone.

Regular headphones have a plug that looks like this:

Headphones with mics have a plug that looks like this:

Notice the difference is that one plug has 2 black rings and the other has 3. You will need to buy an adapter, such as this one, in order to use a headphone/mic combo with your DDJ-RB.
