Hot Cues serious lagging in Rekordbox DJ

I tested rekordbox DJ on several Windows laptops. They all meet the required specifications. Unfortunately on most of the laptops (including the one I use for my gigs, a Lenovo Thinkpad i5 with 8GB memory and an internal SSD) the hot cues take too long to 'set' and while triggering they do not trigger immediately.

It's not a Quantize issue, Quantize is off. Funny enough there is no latency scratching with DVS, but it's specifically the hot cues that don't respond as they should. A stutter (quickly repeatedly pressing a cue point) doesn't sound as it should, and sometimes setting or deleting a hot cue takes several seconds. It occurs using a midi controller, but also when I use the mouse or the laptop's trackpad.

If RB DJ wants to be a serious competitor to Traktor or Serato, these simple issues should be fixed within the software. Now it's a matter of being lucky enough to have a "hot cue friendly" computer.

Or is there already a solution for this?

FYI: I know how to fine tune Windows for audio programs. I tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of Rekordbox. I tried several audio drivers (e.g. DJM900NXS2 driver for my mixer).

I use a Native Instruments Traktor X1 and Novation Dicers.

Update: I just tested a Pioneer controller DDJ-RB on all laptops and it works much better. At least triggering is flawless.

So it seems that Pioneer has to work on general USB MIDI responsiveness.

same here when using cdjs in hid mode the hotcues aren't responsive as in Traktor for example.

Check if you have 'Quantise' on the deck... take it off and things are pretty quick, with it and the sample will try and snap to the beat grid (which can be a noticeable way off).

Read my text before you respond. I wrote:

Hmmm... I'm not expert on this, other than Quantised Decks and lowering the latency settings in RB prefs (which is not an issue if DVS scratcing is fine) am not sure what it could be to delay the cues?

Hello. I 'm bougth the ddj-rb and i'm having the same problems... Its not the quantize , neither the controller.. I find that the hot cues have somekind of a lag.. Did you find the way to fix that?

Well, my way to 'fix' it was to try Pioneer gear, instead of 3rd party controllers. Actually a DDJ-RB or DDJ-SP1 works fine so far. So I'm surprised your DDJ-RB has these issues. It looks like Pioneer still has some work to do.
