Rekordbox not marking green played tracks

 Hi,

I used rekordbox a week ago before the update and I use the related tracks. When I play I track and finish playing it i would see the track green, now it never turns green. Am i missing a configuration or something? Even if I just played a track in rekordbox it would turn green when changing the track.

Please help

The history and marking of tracks is only available when linked to players or in performance mode.

No the ways  I have seen a track is turned green is either play it all and then choose another track and it will display as green (played). The other way is if i play a track and change it even if it doesnt play all the way to the end it will be green.

Now after doing some research dont know if this is correct since i came to a conclusion after reading different threads. Is this functionality only available on the performance mode and not the free version?

If im correct, im just using the free version of rekordbox which I downloaded from the website. The version its 4.2.1 in case im not looking in the correct place. When I used the dj rekordbox i was able to see that functionality.

Okay, that would be considered "Export" mode.

Are you playing the track within the software only or are you linking to a player?

Hi All, I am having a similar issue.  Tracks turn green after played, but, once I load a new track to the same channel the previous track on marks the green font.  Why is this happening?  Also, as mentioned by Ricardo Bribiescas, my Rekordbox is NOT recording my history.  Currently using version 6.2.0 with DDI1000 controller.  Thanks in advance.

@Juan > Are you playing from an export USB device? If so, this is expected.

I don't understand, what do you mean by "export USB device"? I am currently using an external hard drive. (don't know if that answers your question).  If this is the case, does this mean that I have to transfer ALL my music to the pc's internal drive?
