DDJ-RB Not Connecting To Computer

I've redownloaded the audio driver multiple times as well as rekordbox and nothing has changed. When I connect the USB to my MacBook pro it shows the lights on the controller light up then only leaving the Hot Cue lights and the FX and Beat lights on. I press the buttons but the software doesn't respond as if the controller weren't even connected. I don't have speakers so I use the computers built-in. Someone please help. Thanks.
