DDJ RR Drivers wont install!

I recently got my new DDJ RR (yesterday), went to plug it in for the first time and was prompted to install the drivers. Upon installing them, instead of the 'successfully installed' dialogue box appearing, only a small dialogue box with the text 'DDJ RR' and a small black bar underneath appeared and would not change, disappear, or show up on the task manager? Does anyone have any suggestions? Was this because i had Rekordbox open? I have already tried uninstalling the drivers and attempting to re-install.

HELP!

Hello Theo,

Please uninstall and install the audio driver again.

[Steps]

1. Disconnect your DDJ-RR from the computer.

2. Close rekordbox dj.

3. Open the Control Panel and uninstall the DDJ-RR driver from "Programs and Features". 

4. Reboot Windows.

5. Install an appropriate DDJ-RR driver found in the latest rekordbox folder in the computer.

You can find the audio driver in C:\Program Files(or Program Files x86)\Pioneer\rekordbox4.x.x\drivers

6. Connect the DDJ-RR to the computer.

7. Launch rekordbox.

Please note: Do not install the driver while running rekordbox dj. It will cause problems while updating the driver.

Hi Chris, Yes I have run it as an administrator and the same happens, just the little window with 'DDJ RR' and nothing else happens.

Hi there, I followed all these steps listed but the driver still won't install properly, is there anyway I can send a picture of what my screen looks like? The small "ddj rr" window is still appearing and there is no way to close it, it doesn't even appear on task manager?

The same happens when trying to install any of the drivers for other controllers

Hello Theo!

 

I am struggling with exactly the same problem as you are but with the RB-controller. I am starting to get really tired of trying and trying but nothing works.. :( Just wanted you to know! I am following this thread and hope someone can help us..
