Help!! Duplicate Entries in Collection!!

I know there are other posts on this but I've read them and I realize there is currently no way to remove duplicate tracks from Rekordbox... which sucks.

What I want to know is WHY this is happening!? It is a seemingly random occurrence, where certain tracks just all-of-a-sudden have duplicated themselves within my collection. I can't go through 35,000 songs manually, lol. :(

I've attached a screenshot to show you what I mean. So when I load one of of the duplicated tracks, it shows both "versions" as being loaded.

Here's my currently workflow, if it helps:

1. Purchase songs (from iTunes, DMS, Beatport, etc) and add them to my iTunes library.

2. Edit tags to reflect my personal organization system (mostly just the genre)

3. Put them into various playlists in iTunes

4. Close iTunes and open Rekordbox

5. Navigate to File > Import Folder and then I add my entire music folder.

6. Rekordbox pops up the blurb about how it was not able to import all the files. I've always assumed this means it will not import songs that are already in the Rekordbox collection

7. That's it! Then, I use a combination of my iTunes playlists, and my Rekordbox playlists when I'm DJing. I access said playlists from the folder tree on the left.

..............................

What am I doing wrong? And Pioneer, is there going to be an option to remove duplicates in the near future, by any chance?

Hey @Mark, I know that lol. Does that have something to do with duplicate entries in my Rekordbox collection?

That is very likely.  There is no need to manually import songs or playlists from iTunes.  When you add new tracks or playlists to iTunes, simply hit the refresh icon in rekordbox and all your changes made in iTunes should be viewable within rekordbox.

Okay... that's not the issue. Don't worry about it. I'll just add my voice to everyone else who has already requested a feature to detect duplicates in Rekordbox. It would be very useful.
