Pioneer DJM 350 broken. Effects buttons affecting lights and functions on other parts of the mixer

First off I have to point out that my DJM 350 mixer has not had anything spilt on it or been banged in anyway. The mixer was new when bought 13 months ago and I use it in my bedroom about once a week.

When I was in the middle of a vinyl mix today (I don't have or use CDJ's) I noticed that the USB had stopped recording by itself. I stopped mixing and noticed that  lights on the mixer were 1/2 lit. So I tested the mixer by pressing other buttons. When I pressed the crush button the left fader by the crossfader lit up. Then I noticed that I couldn't turn the crush light off even after repeated pressing. The only way to turn the crush button/effect off was by pressing the jet button, on and then off. However when doing this both of the headphone buttons lit up. After pressing several more buttons, particularly the effects it appears they are turning other buttons on and off such as the microphone buttons/lights.

Initially the USB port/recorder appeared to be disconnected but after attempting to "update" the sound effects firmware it now appears to be able to record again. However when I press the effects the USB is also affected. The mixer appears to work but as soon as I touch the effect buttons it affects other buttons? Also when I turn it on the volume lights don't flash in an organised pattern.  I am guessing that their is either a software glitch or a short circuit somewhere but don't actually know. Any idea what the problem is and if I can fix it myself? Thanks.
