Rekordbox does not remember my settings

I have a Pioneer DDJ-RX with Rekordbox running on MacOS El Capitan.  Enjoying it very much so far, but have some feedback regarding Rekordbox not remembering certain settings between re-starts.

  • I prefer to see "time remaining" on a track rather than "time elapsed".  Its easy enough to change by clicking on the time, but Rekordbox should remember this preference.
  • I don't use the platter view, don't see a need for it.  Again I always have to go to the View menu to hide it.  Rekordbox should remember.
  • I use the search/filter settings a lot to find tracks with similar bpm, key, tags, etc.  Can this remain open?
  • I play with Master Tempo turned on, yet it always defaults to off.
  • The 2 FX banks on the DDJ-RX by default are always assigned as Bank 1 to Deck A and Bank 2 to Deck B.  Rekordbox should remember my preference here too.

It means every time I fire up Rekordbox I have to go through a mental check list of things to remember.  Not a big deal - but a bit annoying.

The engineers are aware of these issues and we hope to have solutions in future updates.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Another setting that is not saved:

  • Vinyl brake speed.  I prefer 8/1 so there is a slow down, but it always defaults to 1/2

Sorry, in the case of vinyl brake speed, it IS remembering the setting but the UI still shows 1/2 even though the setting is actually 8/1.

So its still a bug - but with the UI

I'm having the same problems you are, and it's incredibly tedious and annoying to have to change these settings manually every time I use the software.

These settings should be saved between uses - no question.  Pioneer, please fix this.
