Which version of Rekordbox to use? 32bit or 64bit?

I've noticed that when you download rekordbox from Rekordbox Store site the x64 version link has a note that says : Download this version if you own DDJ RZX.

Is Rekordbox DJ x64 only good for DDJ RZX owners, there isn't other benefits from using the x64 version vs the x32. I mean this for Windows of course.

Also what driver version should one install if using rekordbox with DDJ RZ, the 32bit version 1.0 or the 64bit latest driver version? Any help will be great

Thanks in advance

My understanding of using 32 or 64 bit software is the use of ram whilst it's running.
32 has a max of 4gig and 64 is as much as your pc can handle. Thus 64 being better for stability esp when pushing the up fx and video. If you have only 3g ram 64 bit would strain and be unnecessary.

I could be wrong as I'm not a pc tech savy but I think this is what the benifit is over the 2 versions.

@Mine > As @Ravinstomper notes below (and he's not incorrect!), you won't notice much in the way of a performance boost by running the 64bit version of rekordbox over the 32bit version if you're only playing audio. The 64bit version must be run in order to handle video, and that's because of the 3GB memory addressing limit of a 32bit application.

You can install both drivers and have both versions of the program on your computer simultaneously, but in order to use the 64bit application, you need to have 64bit drivers running.

My PC is running Win10 x64 with 8G of RAM, I'm using the 64bit version with no problems. I'm going to try the 32bit version and see if anything is different, better/worse in comparison to 64bit version.

About the driver version for DDJ-RZ, I'm using the 1.103 and I can't see no use on going back to 1.00 driver version. 1.00 it's not available online anymore, and both 32bit and 64bit latest versions of Rekordbox comes only with 1.103 driver for DDJ-RZ.

You can have both 32bit and 64bit version of Rekordbox installed at once, and choose which one to run, but you can't do that with the DDJ Driver, its either one version or the other.

Thanks for the help.

There is only a difference in 32-bit / 64-bit for Windows.  For Mac, there's only one setup file.  If you have a Core Duo processor, you have a 32-bit CPU. Otherwise (Core 2 Duo, Xeon, i3, i5, i7, anything else), you have a 64-bit CPU.
