XDJ-R1 still 'high horn tone' freezing with firmware 1.13

I deeply wished that version 1.13 would solve the 'high horn tone' freeze issue but it didn't. I managed to dj four rather long sessions (4-5 hours each) in the last two weeks without any problem but yesterday it failed again when playing a m4a file from usb that I have already played many times before, without even touching any other button on the deck. For two weeks I was glad again with my XDJ-R1 but not anymore. Still randomly failing hence totally unreliable!

@Nico & @Ranko > If you still have the R1, our engineers are still trying to resolve this issue, but would like to know the following information:

・What did you do before the freeze and noise issue occurred?

・What specifically you did when the issue occurred? For example, loading a track to a deck, pressing a specific button, browsing the track list in XDJ-R1.

・Did the issue occur when you play specific tracks?

If you have specific steps to replicate this issue, please let us know how you do that in details.

It is random. Playing a cd and browsing the usb stick looking for a song. Or playing a song from usb and loading / browsing a cd. I use basically recorded cdrs and self-coded AAC (m4a) files on usb, but it also fails with mp3 files. It seems to happen more if the machine hasn't 'warmed up' by using only cds for an hour or so, but this could be completely irrelevant as I experienced a crash in half an hour or after 4 hours.

I once managed to make it crash on purpose very fast, by turning the machine on and loading the same song from usb on the two players. Playing one then playing the other like I was mixing them and the machine crashed. All done in two minutes.

The most amazing thing of it all is that it also crashes without touching any button, just by normal play and no other action on the other deck. I sincerely hope that the engineers manage to solve this issue as it completely ruins the experience and makes the machine just not trustworthy.

@Nico > Our engineers would like to ask if the crash you described:

"I once managed to make it crash on purpose very fast, by turning the machine on and loading the same song from usb on the two players. Playing one then playing the other like I was mixing them and the machine crashed. All done in two minutes."

...was done with with specific tracks or if it happens with any track(s).

It was a self coded AAC file (.m4a) file. As mentioned it crashed in two minutes, turned off the power, on again and tried the same procedure with the same file... then it didn't crash! The problem doesn't seem to follow a pattern!

@Nico, man I understand how you feel. I really don't expect anything from Pioneer though. There have been complaints about this problem since 2013 (launch year), actually the xdj r1 froze in reviews(!) and today the seventh of June of 2017, 12 firmware updates later they haven't even addressed the fundamental problem of the controller. They are asking you in 2017 if the freezing happens with a specific track or file! That is so infuriating!! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I bought an APC power supply stabilizer cause I think that possibly there is some correlation between the "freezing" and the fluctuation of the power supply. Hope they solve the problem but optimistic about it is a thing I'm definitely not!

・For the horn tone and freezing:
USB stick may have a track decoding errors
     → Please reanalyze the tracks.
CD(CD-R, CD-RW which are not WAV or MP3): Unknown
→ Please provide the same CD in order to replicate the issue.

・For the freeze when using Virtual DJ: MIDI related issues
→ Root cause may be in the computer or Virtual DJ.
Please provide how to replicate the issue precisely.
