What's the way forward now? Xdj or ddj?

Something that I have been thinking about lately, is the Xdj the future or the ddj? I know a lot of people shout out for stand alones nowadays but as djing technology advances would a stand alone controller need a powerful cpu, ram inside it?
While ever a laptop is attached or desktop ,parts are upgradeable and any new features etc will be easily applied to the software running the controller. This is why I'm guessing the rzx still needs a computer attached because to power that beast if it was stand alone it would need additional computer hardware inside the controller itself boosting the price even more.........Xdj or ddj?

I'd say there is a future for both.

For personal use I own an XDJ Aero and a DDJ RX.In the club I work for it's CDJ 2000 Nexus's.

I'm never worried when playing with the XDJ Aero or the CDJ 2000 Nexus's, I load a song and it plays, no sweat.

With Rekordbox DJ and the DDJ RX, while I'm having a lot more fun I am constantly worried something will go wrong. I have a beefy laptop and have not yet experienced a crash but every once in a while the sound glitches which sounds terrible. In a club with the volume up high the crowd would wince. This would never happen on a XDJ/CDJ.

I think Pioneer DJ are on the right track and appreciate that they go to the trouble of providing both experiences. Just wish they would hurry up with a 4 ch XDJ RX!

I know exactly what glitchy sound you are on about aswell, even when the cpu meter is at about 5 % I put it down to the computer been connected to the Internet but it can be that random it's hard to fathom out.
