DDJ SX Tempo and Jog wheel issue

I am having an issue with my DDJ SX

When in Serato everything starts properly. I can assign tracks to either deck and use all functions normally except for the tempo does not work at all and the jog wheel only responds like it would out of vinyl mode. Audio also does not work. I updated firmware. The yellow shows what is working normally but my tempo slider does not work with serato. The jog wheel will not switch to vinyl mode but is working. I am trying to identify if this could be a hardware problem

I recommend trying a different USB port on your cable and a different USB cable.  If that doesn't work, we can investigate further options.

Hi Mark,

Thank you. I tried a different USB port but a new cable will take some time to track down. I also tried different outlets around my house because I thought this could be a grounding Issue. Its just strange that everything else seems to work except for the tempo and jog wheels in vinyl mode. Its also really weird that I have no sound what so ever. Is there a way to tell if this is a hardware or software issue? I am working with Serato as well to try and solve.

Thanks

Hello,

I tried a new USB cord & computer as well. I tried everything Serato support recommended and am suspecting this is a hardware issue rather than a software issue.

Is there anything else I can try?

Have you checked to see that you don't have a MIDI mapping enabled? It could be you're overriding those functions somehow.

Hello,

Same MIDI setting I have always have, nothing has changed there. Still no tempo control or audio output. all other functions of the controller are working.

Thanks
