DDJ-SB2 hardware disconnected

I have windows 10, and just got a DDJ-SB2. I installed the driver from the pioneer website and downloaded serato dj intro but it isn’t working. it’s like my computer isn’t recognizing that anything is being plugged in at all. The controller doesn’t light up when plugged in and the laptop doesn’t do anything either. I’ve tried all the usb ports, i’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and serato intro multiple times but nothing is working. Even when i go under playback devices it doesn’t show the controller as being plugged in:( any help would be great

@Jack > Sorry about that -- it could be that the USB ports on your computer aren't providing adequate power to the SB2. Please try another computer or a powered USB hub with that computer to see if it works.

Sorry, that's usually my first recommendation, but I thought I'd read that you already did that.
