As opposed to editing them where?
In the tree view Rekordbox - itunes - Playlist then when i select a song i cant edit it ... So i have to go to my collection to edit any song tbat i want is it a setting that it locks my itunes playlist?
That's because those songs are being displayed from the iTunes library; rekordbox can't edit them. The ones that are in your collection CAN be edited, but the changes won't sync back over to iTunes.
All right.got it thanks for your help !
Awesome fast respond ! Great job pulse
Why not directly edit song metada instead of playlist properties ???
With Serato it's possible to edit itunes tracks (names, bpm, comments, color...etc) in the itunes library section.
When the tracks are imported to rekordbox, they link to the iTunes library, but the information is stored in the rekordbox database.
Hi Pulse, you say that we can edit the collection but the changes won't sync back to iTunes..it's not completely true since when I set or change the color tag in collection view, the value is directly reflected in iTunes library afterwards.
Are there any technical restrictions that don't allow Rekordbox to edit tracks metadata instead of editing the database ?
Not ALL fields are related back to iTunes.
