As @lostnthesound notes below, the only products which support this method of connection are the CDJ-2000NXS2 and XDJ-1000MK2, along with the DJM-900NXS2.
it is my understanding that if you link 4 CDJ2000NXS2 and 1 DJM900NXS2 with a hub using ethernet you can use recordbox dj in performance mode with 4 decks in HID mode all via the single USB cable from one of the 2 x USB soundcard ports on the mixer ( any youtube videos on this??)
my question is this
does this feature work with DJM900NXS, CDJ900?, CDJ900NXS?, CDJ2000NXS ?, XDJ1000?, XDJ1000MK2? i have a DJM 900NXS and 2 CDJ900 and have been looking into getting some XDJ1000MK2 and probably staying with my 900NXS
yesterday when i was reading recordbox, XDJ1000MK2,DJM900NXS2 and CDJ2000NXS2 user manuals i found somewhere that mentioned this feature, i called pioneer today to ask if it would work with my models and tried to learn more about it but they have no idea what there talking about, i know its possible!

There are a few variations with regards to connecting to Rekordbox DJ and yes, this guide is buried deep within the abyss of the Rekordbox website so it's a bit hard to find.

The USB Link feature is exclusive to the NXS2 series and XDJ-1000 MK2. That's not to say you can use older hardware as audio interfaces in conjunction with Rekordbox DJ, the USB Link streamlines the process.
A quick synopsis: you can control Rekordbox DJ by connecting CDJ-NXS2/XDJ1000MK2 and DJM900NXS2 directly to your laptop via USB or you can connect your decks via LAN hub and then connect your mixer to your laptop via USB. See the link above for specifics.
Be sure you have any necessary drivers setup beforehand and check your firewall settings if you have one active.
