DDJ 1000 Traktor

You could certainly use the DDJ-1000 with Traktor, but you'd have to create your own MIDI mapping for it to function, and there would be nothing showing on the jog displays.

There isn't one that works "better" than another as we don't currently have any Traktor-certified controllers, so it's best you find one with features that suit your needs.

Hello, i have a Pioneer 2000 NXS working with Traktor. I want to move to a controller. But i don’t want to use a different software. Can you suggest me any of these new controllers from Pioneer? Can i work with DDJ 1000 with Traktor? Whom Pioneer new controller works better with Traktor? I don’t want to buy another controller, except a Pioneer one. Can you suggest me one?
Thanks!

Any MIDI-compatible Pioneer DJ product will work with Traktor, but we do not provide TSI mapping files for all of them. Some will require you to map yourself or find a 3rd party mapping file.

@PioneerDJ

Well actually I just got the DDJ-1000 hoping that Rekorbox is on par with Traktor and as per other fellow DJs who have sadly done the same thing, it is not even close and I mean mostly in the sound quality department. if I move any tune out of the 4% pitch range, oh god does it even sound awful - a problem I have yet to reproduce when spinning events with Traktor. I made a HUGE investment into getting the DDJ-1000 and I love the controller itself, although the whole package sadly does NOT live up to the Pioneer DJ brand and this is very sad. I was hoping this would be the package that would change the whole game - and it does have the potential to but we're so far from this.

At this point, I think it is utter ridiculousness of Pioneer to come up with with official DDJSX2 mapping for Traktor but not for something super similar as the DDJ-1000. Also when I plug in my DJM-900 Nexus + CDJ-2000s, they actually work plug & play literally with Traktor and they're like 10 year old devices. I found it really sad that my DDJ-1000 does not the same thing. It is a big shame. In this day in age, you have to go open with your DJ devices, otherwise, you'll lose ground really quick.

As much as I love and want to keep my DDJ-1000, I most likely don't see this happening if Pionner cannot keep up with the sound quality competition can offer and open mindness on their product.

I'd say keep up Pioneer, not keep up N-I... They're again ahead of the curve, good luck with what's coming from them later this year.,

I also came from Traktor and now have a DDJ-1000 and I have no issue at all when moving over 4%. Check your audio settings. Pioneer wants everyone to move to their software and I get that BUT I agree, if Pioneer puts out official mappings for other software for their controllers they would absolutely get those that will never move from their current software.
