Vestax Pad One

Hello.

I tried to map rekordbox with the Vestax pad-one using midi learn.

But many controls do not respond to pad pressure.

Specifically, it is not possible to map HOTCUE and it is not possible to map PAD FX effects.

Also I would like to know if there is an alternative for the management of Browse Files that seems to work only with a knob.

But if I use a PC keyboard all the commands can be mapped without problems.

Thank you.

@Giorgio > Sorry, that could be an issue with the pad-one sending MIDI signals that rekordbox isn't listening for - for example, if rekordbox expects a pad to register a value of 127 in order for it to trigger, and your pad-one is sending anything LESS than a full 127, it won't trigger.

Consider using a MIDI monitor to dig into the signals your pad-one is sending, and consider using a remapper if necessary.

Unfortunately there are no non-encoder methods for browsing tracks. You might also look at a MIDI-to-keyboard converter to send a key stroke signal from your MIDI input.

Hi, I found where the problem is.

When I insert a button / pad command in the midi learn section:
hotcue, padfx, slicer and some others,
the command is interpreted as DdjSxPad type and not as a button type.

Modifying the export csv file in this way:

from: PAD1_HotCue,,DdjSxPad,,9003,9028,,,,9003,9028,,,Fast;,

to: PAD1_HotCue,,Button,,9003,9028,,,,9003,9028,,,Fast;,

everything works regularly.

I think this is a bug to report to developers.

For browse function  unfortunately there is no midi function that allows
you to scroll up and down as it is possibile with the PC keyboard.

(arrow UP and arrow DOWN)

It would be useful if it were inserted as a midi
function in the next release. At the moment I use midi stroke to convert midi signal to keystroke command.

Thank you.
