I’m currently using Serato Video and I’m thinking of converting to Rekordbox Video. I have a few questions. Do the MP4 videos get BPM & key analyzed? Can you record your video mix from inside Rekordbox? Can I use DVS/turntables/encoded vinyl to manipulate the video files? How can you play a video file looping while playing an audio song that does not have video? Has anyone been using RB video successfully? Thank you in advance.
Answering the questions in order:
Yes.
No, just audio.
Yes, with the DVS plugin and compatible hardware.
There are a variety of settings in the preferences to do various things if there is no video when you load an audio track to the deck:

it is almost identical to serato video exept for the touch fx which you only can use with the RZX anyway.
Note that Rekordbox does not allow mixed media playlist and you will have to manually add video playlist or crate in the video section.

Mixed media in the same playlist is possible IF you only use performance mode :)
There is a way - But I don't think pioneer would approve if I explained here ;)
sorry @Pulse - this has been an issue that I've been posting about in the past and actually found a way that works. I just wish pioneer would allow the option.
PS - The DDJ 1000 is amazing - just got this week and had out to 4 gigs and loving it !
