Record Box won't eject USB (SOLVED)

Hi Guys n Girls,

Having an ongoing problem ejecting my external device (usb or SSD Hard drive 500 gig Samsung ) A pop up says device is in use by another window or program, which i can't seem to find.

trying to eject via Macs finder window says Usb in use by Rekord Box.

short of closing rekordbox each time does anyone have a solution or reason why this is happening. I've trolled all the forums and no-one seems to have posted a solution to safely remove without risk f corrupting my usb and its contents.

Google simply suggests dragging the device to the rubbish big. not sure this is something I'm keen to do and risk my playlists and hotncues etc

any advice appreciated

Many Thanks

Jason

UPDATE:Happy to say I have found a solution for this problem. simply select a track from your collection rather than your usb device and play it. Both Rekordbox and finder then releases its grab on your USB Device and you can eject straight away from rekordbox

It's hit-and-miss as to why that happens, I can have everything working just fine for months with the same drive then one day it decides to not eject it. As @Henrik says, just quit rekordbox and kick it out.

Rekordbox is notorious at stating that the "Device is used by other programs" even though it's the only open application. Quit Rekordbox, then eject the drive.
