Official comment
Those are a key element of rekordbox. You could remove the beat grid, but then you'd lose out on a lot of functionality.
Can I ask why you don't want to hide them?

Hi, I want to turn it off, because it's a little cheating for beatmach :)

As I said above, you can remove the beatgrid, but you lose out on so many other functions. If you find it's cheating for beatmatching, just don't look at it!
