DDJ 1000 - Highpass Filter Problem

i did that already. i turned it down completely, but still there are missing high frequencies. i have to turn it hard right about half way so im not cutting the high end while mixing. i would like to show u a small clip about that. best way over email i guess?! greets

I have the same problem, and even made a support ticket about it (Request #54551).

I have the same issue on my DDJ-1000.

When turning the Sound Color fx (filter enabled) knob to the right it sounds like a low pass filter first at like one o'clock position and then changes to highpass like it should sound at 2 o'clock position.

Altough the software knob in rekordbox is turning to the right like the real one, it seems like a rekordbox problem. 

Without rekordbox connected, I tested the same song on the same channel with an external Input source and the filter seems to work fine.

Is there any solution yet? 

Yeah the problem comes from rekordbox. You can hear the same when no controller is plugged in. 

I really hope this one gets solved soon...

Was there a solution with this issue? I'm having the exact same problem, between 1 an 2 o'clock the highpass filter seems to boost a low frequency.

Are you guys sure it's not just an effect of the Q of the filter causing that audio change?

Somehow I missed the solution that was given of adjusting the PARAM knob, I did so and it works, I'm really sorry I didn't double check, I guess you just got to find the sweet spot that fits your style, its like a wet/dry knob. Problem solved adjusting PARAM knob counter clockwise.

i have also set the param knob counter clockwise like the guys that posted before me(before posting my comment) to about only a quarter of it's value (9 o'clock) and it still does the same thing, less noticeable but it's there you can hear clearly how it acts like a low pass in that zone and it certainly is not an effect of the Q of the filter. if i dry it out completely it still appears to be there between one and two o'clock on the color effect knob, issue not there without rekordbox connected. Don't know if the other guys who posted in this thread managed to fix the issue.

@jose maybe you can share if you tested the issue in your headphones or on a larger system because i found that the larger the system the more noticeable the change

@pulse if you have access to a ddj 1000 (although if rekordbox issue it should be there using any controller or just rekordbox itself) perhaps you can check the issue yourself and share a recommended setting of the param know so that the issue is not there anymore

Also if someboy has the knowledge on how to do a frequency analysis it would certainly come in handy.

It's not an issue - it's a byproduct of the Q of the parameter selected.

If it’s a byproduct of the Q can you please recommend a parameter setting where the software filter acts like the hardware filter on the mixer when using external sound source since in this scenario it’s not noticeable. Thank you in advance.
