Hey all I'm a long time Serato DJ user and will be using rekordbox for the first time this weekend. I've used controllers up til now but will be using 2xCDJ2000nexus and a DJM-750.
How will I set this all up so that I can play directly on the CDJs but still have library use on the laptop?

Import all your music to rekordbox, analyse it, check grids, add hot cues / memory points where desired. Create playlists and export them to USB(s), and with your computer running rekordbox in EXPORT mode, you can connect it via ethernet to the CDJs and then they are able to link over to pull from the library.

OK so if they're connected to the laptop over ethernet, I still need to export playlists to USB?
Is there going to be a "like for like" way of hooking this all up?
In Export mode, do I still scroll my library with the CDJs and see it on the laptop?

No, if you're linking via ethernet you don't need to export, but that's a good idea to have them as a backup.
You can browse either on the player or on the laptop - the player won't control what you're seeing on the laptop screen.

In EXPORT mode, I connect my laptop to an ethernet switch then connect the CDJ2000s to the same switch, and I can send them tracks from my rekordbox library?
Do these tracks need to be in the 'Collection'? I've just used Rekord Buddy to sync my Serato library but the songs are listed under the rekordbox.xml section
Am I able to use this set up with PERFORMANCE mode? Laptop to USB hub, then connected to DJM and CDJs?

Yes, you want those tracks to be imported to your collection first, so they have all the appropriate rekordbox data attached.
If you're using PERFORMANCE mode, then connecting the equipment via USB will allow you to use them as controllers for the software.
