How to stop Rekordbox from locking cue points?

Basically, what Im asking is, is there a way to make rekordbox as similar to CDJs as possible? I find it really annoying how it locks the cue point with what it believes is the first beat? Also, how do i adjust the sensitivity on the BPM switch?

Sounds like you have Quantize On, and you have the "Start at Beginning of Track" setting checked (not sure what it is really called but it is in settings).  If Quantize is on, and Rekordbox is set to automatically start at the beginning of a track, it will look to start at the first beat it sees as defined by the beat grid.  If Quantize is off it will start at the actual begiining of a track (even if it is not on the grid).  Also is you don't want it to start at the beginning of a track just change the setting.

Best place to start with any new software is to read the manual, and then practice with the equipment.  As much as all DJ software is built to do "the same thing" (mix music and provide effects), there is much to learn.  The manual is pretty good and YouTube is invaluable.

From a Serato point of view, you may have some pre-conceived notions.  I'm not going to debate which SW is better, but you may want to start thinking in terms of Rekordbox DJ for what it is, rather then what it isn't.

Good Luck should you choose to stay with Rekordbox DJ.  I've used most of the big names like Traktor, Serato, Ableton, etc.  and I can honestly say I'm very pleased with the balance I found in RBDJ, and have decided to make that my go to choice.
