2 x Kontrol F1's with Rekordbox

Hi,

I am trying to use 2 x Kontrol F1's with Rekordbox but it is only recognising one of them, even though they both work fine in Traktor.

I've had my old X1 & F1 working together. Is this a bug because they are both the same controller, even though they are on different midi ports?

I have have the latests drivers and version 5.2.0 of Rekordbox

Please help

Cheers

They both need to be on different MIDI channels otherwise the same pad sends the same control. rekordbox can identify the control signals on different MIDI channels, so you may want to use a MIDI monitor to ensure they're both in MIDI mode and transmitting properly.

Thanks for the quick reply Pulse :-) but I'm not sure what you mean. How do I check that? What do you mean by a MIDI Monitor?

It is only showing 1 x 'Traktor Kontrol F1 - 1 input' in the Connected device list, but Traktor is working fine with them as two separate devices.. I'm confused :-/

Hi Pulse,

I gone in to the software and triggered the devices and it looks like they are both on midi channel 13, how do I change this?

Cheers

@Dan > There may be a way to do it globally per-unit, but the way I've done it in past was to open the Controller Editor (NI's software) and edited each control; there is no overall channel edit in this application, you have to do it one-by-one. :(
