Delay of control

The RB-DMX1 has about a 3 second delay between what the song and commands appear to do compared to when the lights are actually triggered. What could be wrong? For example, a color may show to change on the screen and then it takes a few seconds for the light to actually change. This happens on all my lights including LED par lights as well as moving heads.

Try adjusting the delay compensation in the lighting preferences to see if that makes a difference, but you'll only get 1/2 a second of adjustment:

You might check that your lighting fixtures don't have a lighting curve set; some of them will allow you to make an adjustment to force a "fade" between colour changes depending on the application - you want to make sure this is not set on each light.

Any other delay could be attributed to your computer's specs or possibly other applications / tasks taking system resources or causing traffic to delay signal on the USB output.

I was having this same issue, appears to have been a bottleneck at the USB port. Was running an external hard drive, DDJ-SX, and RB-DMX1 through a USB3.0 hub. Moving the RB-DMX1 to its own dedicated USB port on my computer solved the problem.
