S9 Group FX - Mode Adjust

I read on Serato's website it's not possible to change the settings/parameters on the group FX on the S9.  Is this true?  Can this be mapped?  For instance if I switch to Single FX and change the 'mode' of an effect...   When I switch back to group mode all of my changes get scrubbed and the settings revert to default.

Does anyone know if it's possible to save these settings?  I tried making the change and saving in the Utility under bank 'A'.   But that also saved and locked me Single FX mode.  However the S9 only functions in Group FX.  I love this mixer but it does seem strange that I'm stuck with someone else's settings for every effect I have.

@FA2LA > It's my understanding those are the defaults of the software, nothing to do with the S9.

If I’m not mistaken you will need to pair your S9 with a SP1 to maintain your Serato fx settings when switching between multiple or single effects. The reasoning is because on the SP1 you have separate knobs to control the parameter of each effect. When you’re in Serato it will maintain your parameters because the software recognizes the position of your knobs 7’oclock- 5 o’oclock turn. When using the single effect within Serato the 3 knobs are utilized to fine tune the resonance and such of each effect with the fourth knob controlling the beat of the effect (1/2,3/4 etc.)

The kicker is once you exit out of Serato you will need to set your parameters for each effect back to your likiing, since Serato doesn’t retain this data after shutdown and restart. However, the actual effects chosen for single effect and multiple effects are maintained. It’s been a while since I’ve used my S9 on Serato since I’ve recently moved over to RB DJ. If I recall correctly that’s the way it behaved when I was using Serato Dj 1.98.

@thoris thank you for the info!  I'm going to give it some thought... My friend has the SP1 so maybe I can borrow & test.  We'll see though.. IMO it's not worth the $300 for my needs, I was just trying to explore capabilities of 'Brake Echo'.

@pulse I'm not trying to point fingers, just wanted to know what's possible and what isn't.  Watching a video about the 3 different types of echo outs and wanted to try them all.

@FA2LA > Of course not, no worries!

I was just meaning to indicate that it's because of the software's design that occurs rather than something in combination with the S9.
