You would have to connect it post-master; in other words, run the master output from the RX2 to the input of the RMX, then from the output of the RMX to your speakers or recording device.

So I've done this but it doesn't seem to work properly. I've run it from master 2 to to input on the rmx. It's not picking up the bpm for example. Do I need to run it from master 1 into input? Does it make a difference whether I run it into the mono side? Don't have the cabling so would like to check? What about booth out? A picture would be great. Thanks

Please see the pictures above of the reverse of the 2 units. BPM still doesn't update nor do I get any input readings. Thanks
Nope, that's all you need to do. Have you ensured the output level from the XDJ-RX2 is adequate as well as adjusting the input level of the RMX?
Yes the input on the rmx1000 is in max and pretty much max on master level on the rx2? I've never got any input readings on the rmx at all.
Do we think the quality of the cables has an impact? They're not cheap. And just to be clear it's right rx2 output to right rnx input? Just checking...
I was wondering if this had been resolved; I'm also considering using rmx-1000 with xdj-rx2 if possible. Thanks.
