XDJ-RX random lost Link connection

hey guys,

today, i notice a strange problem. some infos before:

pc with rekordbox > netgear router with internet > switch > xdj-rx

this works just fine in the past, but today, rekordbox lost the connection to the xdj,
the connection betwen my laptop and xdj works fine.
the connection from 1 pc to the xdj takes some second to recognize, but works well.
the connection from the last pc almost never build up. if its connected, it goes into emergency loop after some seconds.

what did i try?

reinstall rb version
change the wired connection to pc > xdj
change the wired connection to pc > switch > xdj
check firewall
disable firewall
start rb as administrator
factory reset the netgear router
change wire

everytime the same result > connected. playing a track. emergency loop. ive recorded a short video where u can see it happen. the first time, the connection lost even without playing a track. the second time, it disconnected some seconds after i hit play. ive done that with multiple tracks. it doesnt matter.

the only thing i have change on my system few days ago: i installed a m.2 ssd as my systemdrive, where rb is installed. perhaps there is any connection between m.2´s and rb? ive tested the installation from a normal hdd. same results.

hope u guys can help me out.

here are some logfiles and a short video on my dropbox > https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pzsu7cz50trppie/AACdJ2TjdglD1SvaQkio8sJ9a?dl=0

greetings.

some more tests:

pc 1 with older rb versions > netgear router > switch > xdj = lost connection
pc 2 with newest rb version > netgear router > switch > xdj = everything´s fine
pc 1 with newest rb version > xdj = lost connection
pc 1 with newest rb version with a fresh library > netgear router > switch > xdj = lost connection

so it has to be pc 1, where my whole library is stored. any tips how to find the issue?!

Troubleshoot it to the raw basics - does the XDJ-RX link when connected DIRECTLY to your computers? If so, the computer / RX are not the problem. Introduce one component at a time until you lose the connection.

Hey Pulse.

thx for the reply. i did that already. direct link from pc 1 to the xdj. i can play a few seconds and then, it lost the link and go into the emergency loop. no matter how i connect pc 1 to the xdj.

pc 2, over the same router, works well. the laptop, only over the switch, works well too.

so there has to be some issues with pc 1. are there any logs i can provide you?

Have you verified that there are no antivirus or malware scanning applications running, and that your system is free of viruses or malware?

Also check that there are no network sharing or server applications / tasks running.

It sounds as if the connection is started but then something is killing the network traffic, thus causing a disconnect & emergency loop.

Hey Pulse,

u are 100% right. "killing the network traffic" gave me the last hint ;) ive installed a program called "netlimiter" some days ago to limit my traffic on this machine. i tought if i dont run the entire program, there will be no limit. something of that program seems to be permanently open in the background. ive deinstalled "netlimter" and tada, no more problems.

thanks for ur help pulse!

greetings from germany.
