'Link' doesn't show up when connecting 2000NXS2 to Rekordbox

Hi,

I recently did a clean wipe of my mac. I reinstalled and updated to iOS High Sierra. However I can't get the 'link' function in Rekordbox to work with my CDJ's. It doesn't show up in the bottom left corner..

Please note:
- I installed the most recent version of Rekordbox
- I updated the firmware on my CDJ to the latest version
- I am using an ethernet USB adapter (this one) that worked flawlessly before
- I tried switching ethernet cables
- I tried rebooting
- I tried reinstalling
- I tried deleting and installing an old version of Rekordbox

What to do?

Have you tried connecting a single CDJ directly? I assume you're using networking hardware of some type if you're connecting multiple players / mixer.

Have you considered using the Link Export function to port the link over USB rather than ethernet? Simply network the players to each-other and then run a USB cable from one player to the computer. With the Link Export driver installed, it will then send the networking signal over a virtual ethernet adapter to the CDJ.

Yes. I use a USB ethernet adapter. I tried connecting single CDJ but did not work.

I bought a USB to USB cable and tried this (yes I did install the Link Export driver) but still no signs of the link feature.

Is this problem a common problem since the High Sierra update? Any other ideas?

Wait ... bought a USB-USB cable? It's a standard USB A-B cable you need.

And if you're running High Sierra, you'll want to ensure you actually installed the drivers; most people don't know about the driver security block. Here's what you need to do:

- install the drivers
- disable the driver security
- install the drivers again immediately

Ah well you didn't mention A-B so I bought a USB to USB cable.

Even though I will try this idea I feel this is most probably not the solution.

The ethernet cables all work. So does my ethernet USB adapter. The system I am trying to make work now is the same thing that worked before my clean wipe. There must be something wrong in the software?

doesn't work for me either with LAN Cable last MAcbook pro and CDJ2000 NXS 2 + DJM900NXS2 so i had to try with 3 USB cable and it works now.

@Eril-Marie > If you're having an issue, please post a new topic and we'll happily assist you there.

@michieltjee > We can't guarantee that a non-Apple network adapter will function properly, which is why I'm asking you to try the USB-Ethernet Link Export function.

Have you tested this as outlined above?

Hello Pulse,

I was off on holidays so could not try until just now.

I bought a USB A-B cable and the connection to my Rekordbox works. However, it is now in control/Performance mode. I do not want control mode I want to have 'regular' Rekordbox pro DJ link.

Any suggestions how to fix that?
