I have a new laptop, Ive started doing a file transfer off all my music/videos, says 11 hours to complete.
Ive been reading through some threads and I am very confused, have i done it wrong?
Should I have done a export and move through rekordbox? Now ive started the file transfer for 4 hours via windows is there a way to then get my database with cue points etc onto the new laptop so I have everything back to normal as it was on the old laptop.
any urgent help would be good

The recommended method to move everything would be via export / import. Simply copying from one computer to the other won't update the database with the locations of your files and settings.
You can export / import the database only (no music), and then use the mass relocation tool to point everything to the new music file location.
