Babber Service Center

Hi, one of the knobs on my DDJ-SB2 was causing the sound to cut out so I searched for how I could get it repaired under my warranty and was directed by Pioneer to a service center called Babber as my only option.

I contacted them and they replied saying it could be fixed under the warranty and I read the terms and conditions before handing it over to a courier to be collected.

I've now been emailed by them saying that my decks are water damaged so the warranty is invalid and the cost of repair is higher than the value of the decks. Although I was unaware there had been any liquids near my decks I can accept the warranty being invalid and I have asked them to send my decks back to me.

I have now been told that I will have to cover the cost of their time and also the courier fees, totalling nearly £80. I sent my decks off under the impression that they would be fixed under the warranty and at no point have I agreed to pay any money for this service and there was no mention of a potential fee in the terms and conditions.

I have explained this to them and they have not replied.

From my point of view I've been a Pioneer customer for only a matter of months, I didn't know my item had any liquid damage and now I'm expected to pay £80 to NOT have my decks fixed? Nearly half the value of my decks!?

This is completely unsatisfactory and I would like this issue resolved with your service center and my item returned to me.
