DDJ-1000 and REKORBOX 5.3.0 BETA 3-4 or 5.3.2 don't like "Intel turbo boost" in Windows 10 with my IntelCore I5 8th latest generation

Hi,

DDJ-1000 and REKORBOX 5.3.0 BETA 3-4 or 5.3.2 don't like "Intel turbo boost" in Windows 10 with my IntelCore I5 8th latest generation

I explain :

I've just find a soluce of my SAMPLERATE AUDIO/NOISE problem with my PC under Windows 10-1803 and DDJ-1000.

PC :

Asus R542UR-DM338T - with INTEL CORE I5-8250 - 8 th generation

Windows 10 - 1803 - 17134.81 or old Windows 10 - 1709 (same noise problem)

DDJ-1000 - ASIO driver.

Same with REKORDBOX 5.3.2 and 5.3.0 BETA 3 or 4.

The soluce :

when i checked the CPU behaviour wirh the Windows CMD "RESMON"

The CPU task was 10% but the CPU frequency jumped to 150% ! with REKORDBOX + DDJ 1000 -> so audio jumps /noise/ change in clock audio speed / samplerate problem even with a high ASIO buffer

So the soluce :

desactivate the "Intel turbo boost"

How ?

Set the CPU in power settings in Windows 10 at 99% and not 100%

And now the sound is Stable ! no jump ! no FX jump ! no drops ! no clicks !

The path to the advanced power settings in Windows 10: Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings

MAC :

Pioneer can you fix this directly in REKORDBOX next update or Beta ?

(Inside driver audio or REKORDBOX C++ code

Hi,

Yes, for me it's work like a charm and when i monitor with the RESMON (WINKEY + R and RESMON command) , the CPU frequency is stable with REKORDBOX and DDJ-1000. Works for me in Windows 10 1803.

Night and day : no more noise or AUDIO DROPOUTS - FX problems….

I Believe there is a problem with latest INTEL generation, and Intel power features (Intel turbo - speedstate and C-states ) in the DDJ-1000 or even DJM drivers drivers or REKORDBOX………(on Windows)

Okay, I've tested it. Setting 99% the power of CPU in Windows 10 April Update 1803, the problem is solved. Now I think Pioneer must solve this problem in the next release of RekordBox or, if it not depends from RekordBox, post a public note or contact Intel to see why this is caused.

Good news :)

Pioneer can you answer to my ticket ? and thanks us to have found something important that could help your drivers/software developpers to solve many issues with DDJ-1000 / DJM / REKORDBOX Windows 10 ? and PC that uses latest Intel generation CPU  ?

DDJ-RX had no problems with INTEL TURBO BOST, but DDJ-1000 with his 1.0000 audio driver , yes...

And stop to answer with a BIOS soluce(Serato FAQ...)  that don't work on most computers (No Intel options in most latest BIOS...) or it's only a Microsoft fault, because in my case i had the noise problem with Windows 10 - 1709 and Windows 10 - 1803...

I was having the same issue and this corrected it for me. Thank you so much for posting. Intel needs to work with Pioneer on this as it's a serious bug on a moderately priced and widely used product. Users should know it's a compatibility issue and not solely on Pioneer. I believe Pioneer should email blast and post to social media for the current temporary fix. I check my CPU clock speed and it was hitting almost 4ghz while playing music from Rekordbox. Afterwards it's now half that at the default clock speed.

It seems incredible that something so simple could work ... BUT YES! A million thanks :)

I'm using Rekorbox 6.5.3 with Pioneer XDJ-XZ in a Intel Core i7 10750H
