By the way, apart from those old playlists, i also made a few new ones on the new mac and that new drive, and those weren't showing as well.....
Hello,
I recently wanted to move my playlists from an old HD to a new one. I read up on this in here and saw that cloning the old drive was the best option...
I did that and when i opened rekordbox, the playlists were all there and so were the tracks! Good starting point i thought!
Then, when i arrived at the club and put my HD in the CDJ the playlists weren't showing.
I am however working on a new laptop as well. So the rekordbox on there shows everything like it should. But nothing on the CDJ. It is a 2TB drive formatted in FAT32...
Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks!
grtz

If you cloned the drive but the drive name itself was different, that would have been the problem. Your better bet would have been to either use the database MOVE function (if on external), or use a backup / restore function.
Aha, ok. Yes the name of the drive was different. Will give it the name of the other drive again and see what it gives... Thanks!
Also worth noting:
- if on Mac, you can't have two drives with the same name connected at the same time; it will mount them as different volumes, even if they have the same "name" in the Finder
- if on a PC, also make sure that the drive was mounted with the same drive letter; it may be worth assigning the drive a manual drive letter through the disk manager to ensure it always connects the same each time
