Synced library on two computers Mac & PC

Hi.

I have two laptops, one Mac, other one backup PC. I need to sync libraries between them without relocating every time the whole library, just because I added 50 tracks. That takes a lot of time and again, restoring a whole library isn't perfect because I always have like 100 tracks that are not found so I have to relocate it manually.

I wanted to export it on a USB as I would for the CDJ-s and then just import it in rekordbox with all the cue points and beatgrid info, but software doesn't allow it.

Is there an easy way to just add this 50 new songs on one computer with all the hot cues and beatgrid info to other laptop without restoring the whole library?

export the changed tracks to a CDJ USB

on the other computer under the Device tab, select the USB-> playlists->

right click Import Folder

Now this routine has a known bug, the first time it MAY not import your cues, run it immediatly on the same playlists again and chose "update collection" you're cues loops etc will make it over.

Why not just move the entire collection of music and database to an external USB device? Then you can "export" whatever songs you want to have available for playback on a CDJ / XDJ, as well as being able to move between computers without any extra steps.

Did you mean I export whole library on an external drive just as I would for CDJ-s and when I need to use other laptop just plug the drive in and read prepared tracks?

No -- I mean you first move the database and all your music to an external drive, then you can move that device from computer to computer as it hosts your rekordbox collection.

You can also select all your tracks and "Export" them to that same device so they're all available (provided they're in the right format) on a CDJ / XDJ.

Here's a video on moving your database & music to an external drive.

My friend and I form a DJ-duo together and we want our libraries to be synced all the time: i.d. if I add a track to a play-list, the play-list changes on his computer too. We don't see each other that often so it's not easy to use USB's. Is something like that possible yet? Otherwise it would be a great new feature.
