DDJ WeGo Headphones without DJ software

Hello! I recently got a DDJ WEGO from a friend of mine, and so I'm a newbie at all of this. I just wanted to ask if I can use my headphones without DJ software. I am aware that with DJ software you can use a 'cue' function to listen in, or even turn the knob for headphones to master. However, it doesn't really work without DJ software, and I would appreciate it if someone has the answer to this.

NB: Can I also use the microphone function outside of the DJ software as an input device for things like skype?

Any and all help is appreciated.

The purpose of the WeGO is a DJ controller; not an audio interface. While it may be possible to use the device for audio output from Windows / Mac applications, it would not have any function from the controls (eg. headphone cueing, volume knobs) without the software to control it.

No, the microphone input can not be used with software as the unit itself is an output-only device, the mic is direct-to-master and does not go "in" to the computer.

Ah, I see. Thank you so much for responding!

So the microphone is to master out only, and headphones out of dj software does not work without other audio applications. (Just a small recap)

If you don't mind, could you send a link to some examples of these software, or at least sites of them (it doesn't really matter if I can't control with the actual controls, as I only need to listen to the pc for personal use)? This is not a necessary question to answer, it would just be very helpful. :D

Again, any and all help is very much appreciated!

Any audio could be output through the WeGO; just assign its audio interface as your device for your system sound output.
