Did the XDJ-RX give you an error message when trying to load one of those songs?
Hi,
So I recently moved my entire iTunes Library over to an external hard drive to free up some space on my Macbook. I was able to get Rekordbox to locate the new iTunes library on the external hard drive and imported a new playlist to be analyzed on rekordbox. After the tracks were successfully analyzed on Rekordbox 5, I imported them to a USB stick. Then when I went to play the tracks on my XDJ RX the new songs that I had just imported would not load or play. I tested other songs that I had imported onto the same USB before I had moved my iTunes library to the external hard drive and they loaded and worked just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? How do I get the tracks to import properly to the USB so I can play them?

Did the XDJ-RX give you an error message when trying to load one of those songs?
No error message. The light on the jog wheel just keeps spinning around though as if it's loading. But the song never loads or plays.
If you look on that device while it's connected to rekordbox, do the playlist and songs appear?
I don't connect my computer to the XDJ RX. I have Rekordbox 5 on my Macbook. I imported a playlist to rekordbox, analyzed the tracks then export them to a USB stick. Then I plug the USB stick into the XDJ.
I meant the USB drive. When it's connected to rekordbox, do the playlist and songs appear on the device if you open them from the tree at the left?
Yes. They appear on the playlist and songs appear like normal.
Can you drag one of the tracks from that USB to the internal deck and have it playback?
And what is the format (file type) of that song? Could be it's unsupported by the RX.
Yes, I can drag and drop the songs to the internal deck and it plays just fine. They are all mp3. The only issue is that they don't play on the RX. Could it have something to do with the fact that I moved my iTunes library to an external hard drive?
No - as long as those drives are available within rekordbox, when you export them, they should work.
Is there any error message on the XDJ-RX when trying to load the track from the USB?
